New Modernist House wins planning permission.

Lee Fitzgerald secure planning permission for an iconic new build house in the grand tradition of the Case Study Program.
The plans directly reference the work of the great Modernists Marcel Breuer and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. The proposed house sits discreetly within the site, with large expanses of glass and courtyard gardens ensuring an ever-present dialogue with the landscape. The site adjoins an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Mike Fitzgerald has commented that "this will be a building that appears as an integral part of the landscape rather than an object set within it."
Sustainability is a key aspect of the design.
The house has been designed in loosely designated zones. Fitzgerald talks of "a discrete apportionment of the home into space for entertaining, for activity and for the quiet sanctuary of rest and relaxation".
